Covid Curfew restrictions shows decline in cases today.

Rajouri May 14:-‘Health block Kandi is the only among six health blocks of Rajouri district where the number of positive cases is very low in comparison to others.
Only 73 positive cases were found in this health block during the last 7 days while the number of active cases in Sunderbani, Kalakot, Darhal, Manjakot, and Nowshera has been recorded between150-300.
The main reason behind this is hectic efforts by the team of health employees, including doctors, paramedics, FMPHWs, ASHAs etc in containing the spread of the pandemic in the block under the supervision of Dr. Iqbal Malik ,Block Medical Officer.
Dr.Malik despite once tested positive and after remaining in isolation has once again active and looking after the affairs of the health block by deputing several teams to visit the red zones for aggressive testing/sampling of the contacts, sampling at the entry point to district Rajouri at Budhal etc.
Even he himself was found distributing masks on the road among the Nomads and educating them about the dreaded pandemic and vaccination.
Tough measures under Covid Curfew and social distancing among the people has started showing a decline in the covid cases and today 138 cases were found in the district against 227 on Thursday,230 on Wednesday & 208 on Tuesday.
Four patients succumbed to the pandemic at Government Medical College & Associates Hospital (GMC&AH) Rajouri including one from Surankot (Poonch), 3 from Rajouri district.
The number of active cases in the district in now 3123 out of which 15 are isolated in the isolations of BSF/Army, 187 in hospital isolation, including CCCs (in the district), 18 are in isolation out of district while 2903 patients are under home isolation.
With four deaths today the tally in the district has raised to 118 while 3293 samples were collected today from across the district.
Out of 7589 active cases in the district 4351 were tested negative and have recovered, including 74 patients who recovered on Friday.
