To break the Covid chain DM order fresh restrictions.

-In the wake of alarming daily rise in Covid-19 cases in all the six health blocks of the district, Rajesh Kumar Shavan, District Magistrate Rajouri has ordered additional restrictions besides the Government of UT of J&K has already declared Covid Curfew in all the 20 districts.
In an order issued today to limit the coronavirus spread, DM—- in continuation of earlier orders issued on May 5& 8— under section 144 CrPC, section 34 of DMA-2005& section 2 of Epidemic Diseases Act has ordered that no vehicle will be allowed to move except that of an employee of essential services, Ambulances, Security Forces, and vehicles carrying patients.
As per order in urban areas movement of the people have been restricted after 11 am barring those moving to hospitals/clinics, for Covid Management, essential services & duly permitted.
Milk, Vegetable,vfruit Bakery shops shall remain open between7 to 9 am while Karana shops (on odd & even)shall remain open between 7 to 10 am.
Patrol pumps, LPG outlets, ration depots; telecommunication, postal, couriers & e-commerce services shall continue to function.
Vehicles engaged in carrying essential supplies & construction material for government projects shall also be allowed to ply.
With 170 more positive cases detected in the district today the number of active positive cases raised to 2636 while only 33 patients could recover today.
The death tall also reached at 99 with two more deaths due to Covid-19. 3085 samples were collected today, including 2777 Rat & 308 RT-PCR.
As far as vaccination is concerned, the district has achieved 65.51 % of its target. Out of 2636 active positive cases 2476 are in home isolation, 23 in BSF & Army isolation, and 112 are in hospital isolation, and 25 in isolation centers outside the district.

Meanwhile, after the death of active Covid patient 13 more cases were detected in Swari village under Kandi health block during aggressive contact tracing today.
Dr.Iqbal Malik, BMO has said the situation is alarming and advised the people to strictly follow all the instructions issued b the Health Department
