42 FIRs registered in two days against COVID19 SOP violators

Poonch May 05:— In two days strict action against violators of COVID-19 SOP guidelines, District Police Poonch registered 42 FIRs under relevant sections of law against the violators.

Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Vinod Kumar ,IPS ,in an official statement said that the teams at police stations and police posts launched the drive under the supervision of the concerned DySsP and Adl SP Poonch, Sh Khalid Amin to check the violations of COVID-19 guidelines and SOPs.
He said during the last two days i.e. Tuesday and Wednesday, a number of people including drivers of vehicles were found violating COVID19 guidelines.
He further informed that 397 number of people were found roaming without face masks and social distancing and a fine to the tune of rupees 85000 has been realised from them.
” We appeal to the public of Poonch to adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines and SOPs and not put their lives at risk”. said SSP Poonch.

He also appealed to the general public to visit the towns only in case of extreme emergencies to avoid the spread of deadly corona virus.
