Rajouri April 25 :–Rajouri police here on Sunday nabbed a two persons, recovering a consignment of 550 gm of Brown sugar like substance from their possession.
In an official statement, police said that a police team of Police Station Rajouri while on routine patrolling for enforcement of Corona Curfew when a motorcycle was seen moving on highway at Panjpeer near Rajouri town.
The persons riding the motor cycle were identified as Mohammad Anwar son of Noor Hussain resident of Pukharni village of Qila Darhal tehsil in Nowshera and one Harmeet Kour wife of Gurpreet Singh resident of Qila Darhal, at present Nowshera.
On checking, around 300 grams of Brown sugar like substance was recovered from the possession of Mohammad Anwar while 250 grams of Brown Sugar like substance was recovered from the possession of the lady.
The motorcycle bearing registration number JK11D 7898 has also been seized from the spot.
In relation to this, police said, FIR 186/2021 under Sections 8(c)/22/29 of the NDPS Act has been registered in Rajouri police station, accused arrested and investigation is going on.
Arrest of these two is a major success for police on its Anti Narcotics front and further investigation is going on to investigate the source from which duo received this consignment and further use of the same, police further said in its official note.
