DC Shopian Presides Over Block Divas At Zainpora Assures public of timely redressal of their grievances

SHOPIAN FEBRUARY 24:— In his maiden visit to Sub Division Zainpora on the occasion of Block Divas, Development Commissioner of Shopian Sachin Kumar Vaishya today assured the public that their development related issues and grievances shall be addressed in a time bound manner. He said the development plans shall be formulated taking into consideration aspirations of local populace.

The locals, social workers, senior citizens and civil society members put forth plethora of developmental issues of the area like earliest macadamisation of Shopian-Bijbehara and other internal roads, road connectivity, repair of damaged transformers and upgradation of HT/LT lines, availability of piped drinking water, construction of lanes and drains, adequate medical facilities, speedy completion of bridges connecting and construction of Irrigation khuls.

Some grievances were redressed on spot whereas deadlines were fixed for addressing other developmental issues. The DDC said immediate problems of drinking water and power supply shall be resolved on priority. He added that administration has already constituted tehsil wise committees to monitor the quality of development works being executed and pace of works is being reviewed fortnightly to ensure timely completion of these projects.

Mr. Sachin exhorted upon the executing agencies to strict to the timelines already fixed for completion of projects. Concerned SDM was directed to undertake surprise inspections of government offices for ensuring punctuality of employees in these offices. He stressed that Govt. officials should be freely accessible to the public, take note of their grievances and work with added zeal to address these grievances.

He gave out that district administration will issues schedules for holding of camps PSGA where various services like revenue extracts, category certificates, golden cards, KCC cards, age certificates, domicile certificates etc shall be provided at doorstep of the public.

Among others Divisional Magistrate Zainapora Mushtaq Ahmad, Block Development Officer Tariq Ahmad Padder, Naib Tehsildar and subdivisional officer of engineering departments were present on the occasion.
