Kishtwar, FEBRUARY 20:–Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar Ashok Sharma today flagged off a group of 30 Orchardists drawn from different zones of district Kishtwar for their particitapiton in Horti- Expo 2021scheduled to be held on 21st and 22nd at Gulshan Ground Jammu.
Chief Horticulture Officer Kishtwar, Mushtaq Ahmed Wani, Staff of Horticulture department besides large number of Orchardists of District Kishtwar remained present on the occasion.
CHO Kishtwar informed that orchadists will visit in Horti- Expo 2021 aimed to provide valuable information to the ordchadists besides apart from products and services related to horticulture, the expo will provide farmers inputs on productivity, Haverst management, indigenous technical know-how and best farming practices to the orchadists.
While interacting with the Orchardists, DC Kishtwar highlighted the importance of Horticulture and said that the sector plays an important role in socio economic development besides contributing significantly to economy of the region.
He asked Orchadists to get well acquainted with the latest techniques, skills and technical know-how in Horti Expo 2021 and apply same things in their orchards and also aware other farmers of the district in order to tap the Horticulture potential in their areas.
