Mendhar Students Union President Dilshad Qadri said students enrolled in different degree colleges of Jammu demand officials to extend date of online application for Pahari speaking scholarship.
Dilshad in a statement said, The last date to summit online applications was 31 october 2020 .But students cannot submit the applicati within the prescribed dates as they have to do some more paper work. Before 2019, Identification of Phari Speaking People was being done by members of Phari advisory board who were appointed by General Administration Department (GAD) and the board has been dissolved,the needless delay in issuance of these certificates is bound to affect thousands of students .
Authorities should extend the date by at least by 20 days,
If date was not increased, many candidates would not able to apply. He added
He also urged the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to issue necessary directions to the administration to issue PSP certificates to the members of Pahari community who have been brought under a separate reservation category in April 2020.
