Demanded withdrawal of IMPACT Training Course or Involvement of All Teachers

Srinagar / Jammu September 21: A written memorandum regarding IMPACT training was presented to the District Development Commissioners in all the districts of Centrally Administered Jammu and Kashmir today by the Jammu and Kashmir Rahbar-taleem-Teachers Forum(JKRETTF) .
According to a press release issued here as per the decision taken in an executive meeting chaired by the Chairman of the Forum Farooq Ahmed Tantra, all the District Presidents of the Forum submitted a written memorandum before the District Development Commissioners in their respective districts .
The written memorandum Stating that the Government of India was asked to provide IMPACT training to all untrain teachers under the NCERT program, but in Jammu and Kashmir this training has been extended only to teachers Grade II and III in which most of the teachers are B.Ed and M.Ed degrees holders. While untrained teachers posted under other categories are not included in the said training programme.
The press release said that if the course is for enhancing the experience in addition to modern education and for the new methods and techniques of education,forum always welcomed such courses in past as well.
The memorandum submitted to DDCs reads that forum is not against any training course but a particular section of teachers were included in it in which maximum of them are trained teachers having professional degrees like B.ed and M.ed . They said that on the other hand teachers appointed through SSRB or other modes were not included in it even untrain teachers of these careers are not included in this training course.
Memorandum reads that either include all the teachers in this course or cancel this training in which only a particular section of teachers were targeted and included in untrained teachers category.
They added that it would be an insult and discrimination of a certain class and a question mark on the professional university degrees obtained by them in addition to their qualifications .After the presentation of memorandum the forum leaders held a press conferences in their respective districts and appealed to the LG administration for their immediate intervention.
