Dissolution of Gujjar Advisory Board is not acceptable: Advocate Qamar Hussain Ch.

Rajouri: Former Member legislative Assembly Rajouri, and Senior leader of JK Apny Parry, Adv Ch Qamar Hussain, has strongly expressed his Resentment over the dissolution of State, Advisory Board for the Development of Gujjar Bakerwals, by the Government.

He In a Statement, issued today said that Gujjar Community has its own unique Identity, culture, tradition and language where as rest of tribals have no such recognition. Gujjar Advisory Board has played an excellent role in the upliftment of downtrodden , poor, dispossessed, disempowered Gujjars. One of the work is setting up of more than 25 Gujjar Hostels.But the present dispensation has biased attitude towards Gujjar Community. Not even a single member of the community is present in the Committee on Tribals.Some elements in higher position who have evil design against the community will not succeed.Gujjar Community has always welcomed the decisions of Centre as well as State Government and has cooperated and coordinated with the Centre and State machinery.No doubt irregularities and malpractices have come to fore in the board. Due action should be taken against those who didn’t maintain the ethics of duty and responsibility.We request the Governor Administration to reconsider the decision about Gujjar Advisory Board whose status must be maintained. Otherwise be ready for mass agitation by the Gujjar Community.
