Dr. Shamim Ahmed Banday greets people of J&K on eve of Eid-ul-Fitr Urges Muslims to offer ‘Eid Namaz’ at Home

Poonch May 23 : -Dr.shamim Ahmed Banday on Saturday extended warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr with a hope that these occasions will be marked with harmony, reconciliation and an end to distressing situation caused by the spread of COVID-19.

He also urges Muslim Ummah to offer Eid Namaz at home and maintains social distance.
In his Eid message, Dr. Shamim Banday expressed hope that this auspicious occasion would be the harbinger of peace, progress, prosperity and happiness and would strengthen the bonds of communal harmony, brotherhood and amity, which are the hallmarks of J&K’s glorious pluralistic traditions.He prayed for the progress and well-being of the people of the State.
Dr.Shamim Banday said that “Eid also embeds the message of taking care of the needy and making them part of the happiness by extending economic support to them,” he said and expressed the hope that Eid would bring peace, prosperity and well-being to the State and the people all over the world.
While extending warm greetings to the people on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr, He said the spirit behind the observance of this Eid, which marks the end of month-long fasting, is to express thanks to Almighty Allah for giving courage to his believers to observe fast and rededicate themselves to truthfulness, sincerity, self-control, and patience.
