NGO ‘Jiyo aur Jeene do’ convened a Press conference in  NGO Head Office under the presidentship of Tariq Shah regarding some Town Issues.

Udhampur Aug 25 (GNS):-Members of NGO ‘Jiyo aur Jeene do’ convened a Press conference in the NGO Head Office under the presidentship of Tariq Shah with a motive to raise a few issues related to Udhampur town. While addressing the media persons President Tariq Shah said , “First of all our NGO would like to thank and appreciate the district administration for taking a quick step and strong action against the Chinese plastic thread which was been sold and used openly for kite flying.It was an appeal from our NGO and we thank administration for such quick action.Our honorable Prime minister has also appealed the citizens on this Independence day to abandon the use of plastic especially the single use plastic.Our NGO has also appealed many times to abandon the sale and use of plastic bags as well as other sort of plastic waste. The polyethene bags are being used for carrying vegetables , fruits and other eatables also which is very dangerous for health. Today also Our PM has appealed through ” Man ki Baat ” to quit the single use plastic because this adds to the plastic waste . This year we would be celebrating 150th birth anniversary and abandoning the plastic would be the best way to pay tribute to Gandhi ji. We request the district administration to completely abondon the sale and use of plastic to make our environment clean . ” Along with President Tariq Shah , members of NGO Iqbal Hussain , Ritupriya , Sahil and others were present.
