DDC Rajouri inaugurates Multi-purpose hall at Government Girls Model Higher secondary school

Rajouri, July,23:District Development Commissioner,Rajouri, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today inaugurated the multi purpose hall at Government Girls Model Higher secondary school and dedicated it to the students.Tehsildar Rajouri,Sheraz Chouhan,District Panchayat Officer,Abdul Khabir , principal Govt.Girls Model Higher secondary school and other staff members were also present on the occasion.

The multi purpose Hall has been constructed at an estimated cost of ₹15 lacs.The multi purpose hall can accommodate at least 100 students at a time.

Speaking on the occasion District Development Commissioner said that the district administration initiated this construction work after staff and students raised the issue of infrastructure deficit in the school. Reportedly, school administration had to close few classes whenever there was an examination for other classes due to deficit of accomodation and lack of a separate Examination Hall.DDC expressed satisfaction over the construction of the multi purpose hall and said that it would immensely benefit the students of the area and the inauguration of Multiple purpose Hall has fulfilled the long pending demand of the students and teachers.

It is pertinent to mention here that a few months ago when DDC visited the school for inspection the principal of the school had informed that being model higher secondary school there is no examination hall and during the examination days,the school authorities have to close the classes so that they can accommodate students in classes who are taking the examination. The students as well as the teaching faculty requested for sanctioning of the multi-purpose hall for the school. Keeping in view the Aspiration and the need of the students DDC had sanctioned one multi purpose hall on the spot and directed the Executing agency to construct the multi purpose hall within shortest possible time and before the commencement of Examinations for the session 2019-20.
Meanwhile, school administration and students requested DDC for addressing the issue of entry gate for the students and teachers. They raised the issue that the present entrance to school is quite insecure and the issue needs to be addressed on top priority.
