SSP Traffic Rural Jammu Issues Public Advisory for E-Rickshaws, E-Autos and E-Carts

JAMMU, SEPT, 18:– SSP Traffic Rural Jammu Farooq Qaiser has issued a public advisory for operators of e-rickshaws, e-autos and e-carts operating in the districts of Kathua, Samba, Rajouri and Poonch, urging them to strictly follow traffic rules and ensure the safety of passengers and other road users.

In a video message SSP Farooq Qaiser said that e-rickshaw, e-auto and e-cart operators must ensure that their vehicles comply with all applicable legal and safety requirements. He stressed that operators should carry valid documents, follow designated routes wherever applicable and avoid practices that could endanger passengers or obstruct the smooth movement of traffic.

He further advised operators to avoid overloading, rash and negligent driving, wrong-side driving and parking at unauthorised locations. Drivers have also been urged to exercise particular caution near schools, markets, hospitals, busy intersections and other crowded areas.

SSP Qaiser appealed to operators to cooperate with Traffic Police and make road safety a priority. He said that strict enforcement would be carried out against violations, while public cooperation remains essential for reducing traffic-related risks and maintaining disciplined movement on roads.

The advisory covers e-rickshaw, e-auto and e-cart operators across Kathua, Samba, Rajouri and Poonch districts.
