DDC Rajouri takes stock for creation Parking spaces, Repair of Lanes & drainage system in Rajouri Town 

Rajouri:District Development Commissioner,Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad,conducted an extensive tour of the Rajouri town to take stock of Parking places, Repair/Upgradation of Lanes and Drainage system.

The major developmental work inspected by the District Development Commissioner includes the development of park at Bella colony, construction of drainage system at Bella colony, establishment of bus stand at Bella colony and blacktopping thereof, Blacktopping of the Bella road and Blacktopping of the old bus stand.

DDC started the touri from inspection from the development of the park at Bella colony by the floriculture department.The foundation stone of the park was laid down during the visit of the then principal secretary finance at Rajouri.DDC asked the officer of the Floriculture department to clearly demarcate the land identified for the purpose and complete the project at the earliest.

While taking serious note of the alternate road constructed from Abdullah Bridge to Hospital chowk ,DDC directed the PWD officers to immediately start the Blacktopping of the road with proper drainage system along the road.The road was constructed with the motto to reduce the traffic congestion on the Mandi khero road.He also said this would be the most important road once the alternate double lane Abdullah bride gets completed.

Taking strong note of the illegal construction near the Bella colony DDC directed the Tehsildar Rajouri and EO municipality Rajouri to stop the construction work and book the persons under relaxant laws if there is found any violation of the laws.

The DDC also visited the proposed site for the construction of Bus stand at Bella colony and inquired about the construction of protection bund as it was targeted during the previous visit.The DDC issued necessary instructions to PWD and I&FC and stressed on making the new facility functional within shortest possible time as it will further help in decongestion of the Rajouri city.

Regarding the widening of road at the hospital chowk near Agriculture office Rajouri ,DDC asked the PWD authorities to submit a feasibility report, so that the restructuring of the chowk can be started.

Moreover DDC also paid a visit to the old bus stand area and directed the PWD authorities to immediately start the Blacktopping of the busstand on war footing.DDC also directed the EO municipality to submit a proposal with respect to the start of tile work in main bazaar area and effective drainage system for the bazar area.DDC said the drainage system of the city is very poor and during the rainy season the water overflows then drains thus creating botheration for the commuters.
