Mal Top a Masterpiece of Natural Beauty, Locals Demand Road Connectivity and Tourism Facilities

BUDHAL AUGUST 12:-Mall Top in Budhal, blessed with natural beauty and scenic splendour, holds immense potential as a tourist destination but continues to await basic amenities and improved road connectivity. Surrounded by a pleasant environment, captivating landscapes and lush green mountain ranges, Mal Top has emerged as an attraction for tourists in recent years, with visitors from Jammu and other areas travelling to enjoy the region’s natural charm.

The picturesque landscape, pleasant climate and peaceful surroundings of Mal Top offer considerable attraction to tourists. Locals said that with proper and coordinated planning to tap the tourism potential of the area, Mal Top could emerge as a prominent tourist destination not only in Budhal but across the Pir Panjal region. However, the lack of proper road connectivity and other basic tourism facilities has prevented the area from fully realising its tourism potential.

According to residents, establishing better road connectivity to Mal Top is essential to place the destination prominently on the tourism map. They said that the difficult terrain and poor road access make it challenging for tourists to reach the area, limiting access to this beautiful natural destination. They added that the construction of a proper road to Mal Top could lead to a significant increase in tourist arrivals.

Local residents urged the government, MLA Javed Iqbal Chaudhary and senior officials of the Tourism Department to give priority to connecting Mal Top with a proper road, keeping its tourism importance and natural beauty in view. They also demanded that basic facilities for tourists be developed alongside the road so that Mal Top can be promoted as a proper tourist destination and its vast tourism potential can be fully utilised.

The residents expressed hope that the government and concerned department would pay serious attention to the issue and take concrete measures. Such steps, they said, would not only enhance the tourism importance of Mal Top but also generate new economic activities and employment opportunities for the local population.
