Heaps of garbage can be seen at various locations, including the main market area, central roads, important link roads, drainage channels, near the Jammu & Kashmir Bank branch in Budhal, and other public places. The situation is not only affecting the beauty of the market but is also raising concerns about public health.

Local residents, traders, and members of civil society stated that the lack of proper sanitation has resulted in widespread littering across the market. Garbage accumulated in drains is also disrupting the drainage system. Residents said that repeated requests have been made to the concerned departments and authorities for better sanitation management in Budhal Market. The residents have urged the administration and the concerned department to immediately streamline the sanitation system in Budhal Market. They demanded regular cleaning of drains, timely disposal of garbage, and proper monitoring of sanitation workers to ensure a clean, healthy, and pleasant environment for the public.

Citizens further stated that Budhal Market is an important commercial hub of the region, and maintaining its cleanliness and beauty is the responsibility of the concerned authorities. They expressed hope that the administration would take serious notice of public grievances and implement prompt and effective measures to address the issue.
