Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Conducts Surprise Inspection of REW Office Rajouri.

RAJOURI, MAY 26:- In a significant move aimed at strengthening transparency, accountability, and efficiency in government functioning, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma on Tuesday conducted a surprise visit and inspection of the Rural Engineering Wing (REW) office in Rajouri.

During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner thoroughly reviewed the functioning of various sections of the office, inspected official records, ongoing works, attendance registers, and the status of developmental projects being executed under different schemes.

Sources said that the Deputy Commissioner took strong notice of several loopholes and irregularities observed during the inspection. He expressed serious concern over delays in execution of works, lack of proper monitoring, maintenance of records, and overall administrative functioning in certain sections.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers and officials to ensure transparency, accountability, and timely completion of all developmental works. He emphasized that negligence, casual approach, or unnecessary delays in public works would not be tolerated at any level.
He further instructed the department to streamline office functioning, maintain proper documentation, and ensure that quality standards are strictly followed in all ongoing and upcoming projects.

The inspection is being viewed as part of the district administration’s continued efforts to improve governance, enhance public service delivery, and ensure effective implementation of developmental initiatives across Rajouri district.
