RAJOURI, APRIL 23:- Under the ongoing “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan”, an awareness program was held at CHC Kalakote for the general public to combat drug abuse.
The program was conducted in line with the directions of District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, Director Health Services Jammu, Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kalakote Mohammad Tanwir, and Chief Medical Officer Rajouri Dr. M. L. Rana.
Organized by Block Medical Officer Kalakote, Dr. Iqbal Malik, the session focused on spreading awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and its serious impact on physical and mental health. Participants were educated about the common signs and symptoms of drug addiction, enabling early identification and timely intervention.
Emphasis was also laid on community participation and collective responsibility in addressing the growing menace of substance abuse. The program concluded with an appeal to the public to remain vigilant, spread awareness, and actively contribute towards building a drug-free society.
Meanwhile, a Nasha Mukt campaign was also conducted at PHC Thanamandi in the presence of the SDM Thanamandi, where locals were encouraged to join hands in eradicating drug abuse from society.
