DDC Kishtwar flags off rally on “Jal Shakti Abhiyan” Students presented colourful cultural programme, took out rallies and various activities across the district

Kishtwar, July 15:With an aim to create wide spread awareness regarding water conservation, rain water harvesting and conserving natural resources, District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana (KAS) today flagged off of a rally under “Jal Shakti Abhiyan” from Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Kishtwar here.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kishtwar, Pawan Kumar Parihar, Dy. CEO Kishtwar, Rajinder Singh Sen, Principals,. ZEO Kishtwar, teaching staff of host schools, scores of students form GHSS Boys and Girls Kishtwar remained present on the occasion.

While addressing the participants DDC Kishtwar, called upon people to join hands for water conservation and make it a Jan-Andolan along the lines of the Swachh Bharat Mission, to save every drop of water for securing the future of generations to come.

He further urged students, youth to aware the common masses by various campaigns which should not only focus on water-related problems but also propagate ways to save water with active involvement of PRIs members, NGOs etc.

He further added that various teams were constituted at Panchayat and Block level in district Kishtwar who shall ensure the implementation of various water harvesting and conservation measures.

Meanwhile, the various activities like Nukkad Natak, cultural programmes and rallies were taken out by students across the district Kishtwar reagarding Jal Shakti Abhiyan in order to create awareness among the masses.
