SRINAGAR FEBRUARY 26:-Manoj Sinha today addressed the 21st Convocation of the University of Kashmir, an event graced by the Hon’ble Vice President of India, C. P. Radhakrishnan.
Addressing the gathering of graduates, faculty members, and dignitaries, the Lieutenant Governor described the convocation as a “vivid proof of generational metamorphosis, fulfilled aspirations, and the unwavering faith of youth embodied in modern education.”
Emphasising the evolving role of higher education institutions, the LG said that ideas nurtured in classrooms must ultimately impact the world. He stressed that universities should move beyond their traditional role as custodians of knowledge and transform into vibrant centres of innovation, human development, and social transformation.
Highlighting his vision for the education sector, Manoj Sinha underlined the importance of stronger collaboration between academia and industry. “Industry and intellect should grow together,” he said, urging universities to work closely with industry leaders, innovators, and research and development organisations to contribute to the vision of Viksit Bharat.
He added that higher education campuses and companies must co-create the future by fostering innovation, skill development, and research-driven growth.
Describing education as the most powerful instrument of change ever placed in human hands, the Lieutenant Governor said it has the power to redirect the course of an individual’s life, reshape the destiny of families, and ultimately rewrite the future of a nation when embraced wholeheartedly by the youth.
The convocation ceremony celebrated the academic achievements of graduating students and reaffirmed the pivotal role of higher education in shaping a progressive and self-reliant India.
