Er. Shahid Latif Mir Appointed In-Charge Superintending Engineer (Mechanical), Jammu

JAMMU FEBRUARY 06:-The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has ordered the placement of eligible engineers as In-Charge Superintending Engineers (Mechanical) in the Public Works (R&B) Department.

As per Government Order No. 44-PW (R&B) of 2026, dated 06-02-2026, Er. Shahid Latif has been appointed as Superintending Engineer, Mechanical & Hospital Circle, Jammu, with immediate effect, in his own pay and grade.
The order, issued by the Public Works (R&B) Department, also includes the placement of other senior engineers to strengthen the Mechanical Wing of the department. The government stated that the arrangement is purely temporary and subject to final promotion through the prescribed DPC/JKPSC process.
