Missing Lady Successfully Traced and Reunited with Family by Police Station Loran Poonch

POONCH  JAN, 15:-In a commendable demonstration of prompt response, professionalism, and commitment to public service, Police Station Loran, under the jurisdiction of District Police Poonch, has successfully traced a missing woman and ensured her safe and lawful reunion with her family after completing all mandatory legal formalities.

A missing report concerning Ms. Shazia Akhter, daughter of Wali Mohammad, caste Malik, resident of Lohil Bela, Tehsil Mandi, was formally lodged at Police Station Loran on 01 November 2025, following information received about her unexplained absence and untraceable status. Taking cognizance of the matter with due seriousness, Police Station Loran immediately registered the report and initiated a systematic search operation.

Upon receipt of the complaint, a dedicated police team was constituted by Police Station Loran, which carried out sustained and coordinated efforts to trace the missing lady. The police team followed multiple leads, conducted field inquiries, and utilized available technical and human intelligence resources to ensure timely progress in the case. As a result of these persistent efforts, Ms. Shazia Akhter was successfully traced on 15 January 2026.

After being traced, her statement was recorded strictly in accordance with the provisions of law, ensuring that her safety, dignity, and free will were fully respected. The police also carried out necessary verification and documentation to ascertain all relevant facts and circumstances related to the case.

Following the completion of all required legal formalities and due verification, Ms. Shazia Akhter was safely and respectfully handed over to her legal heirs. Consequently, the missing report registered at Police Station Loran has been formally closed as per established legal procedures.

District Police Poonch reiterated its unwavering commitment to promptly and sensitively handling cases related to missing persons, with special emphasis on safeguarding the dignity, rights, and well-being of women. The police also reaffirmed that all such cases are treated on priority, with thorough investigation and lawful resolution.
