SRINAGAR JAN, 15:-Altaf Bhat, President of the Jammu and Kashmir Chapter of the International Human Rights Organization (IHRO-JK), on Thursday congratulated students who cleared the Class 10th and 12th examinations conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE), terming their success a reflection of resilience, hard work, and collective support.
In a congratulatory statement, Altaf Bhat lauded the determination shown by students despite challenges faced during the academic year. He also acknowledged the vital role played by teachers, parents, and education authorities in guiding and supporting students through their academic journey.
“This achievement stands as a testament to the perseverance and dedication of our students,” Altaf Bhat said. “Their success is not only personal but also a result of the unwavering support provided by educators and families. It is our shared responsibility to ensure that every child has access to quality education and a safe learning environment.”
The IHRO-JK President called upon local leadership and educational institutions to further strengthen academic and social support systems, particularly for students from disadvantaged and vulnerable backgrounds. He noted that initiatives such as remote learning facilities, community-based study programmes, and remedial coaching in remote and underserved areas have positively contributed to the overall performance.
While welcoming the encouraging results, Altaf Bhat pointed out that disparities in access to education still persist. He urged the authorities to address these gaps through targeted scholarships, enhanced teacher training, and the creation of secure and inclusive study spaces.
Emphasising education as a fundamental human right, Altaf Bhat said safeguarding students’ rights must remain central to educational planning and recovery efforts. “Every child deserves to learn without fear, discrimination, or barriers. Mental health support and a nurturing academic environment are essential, especially after a demanding year,” he added.
Altaf Bhat appealed to the Jammu and Kashmir administration, JKBOSE, civil society organisations, and private stakeholders to work collectively towards remedial education measures and long-term reforms. He reiterated IHRO-JK’s commitment to monitoring educational progress, highlighting gaps in access and quality, and advocating for policies that place students’ rights and well-being at the forefront.
