Greater Shah-re-Khaas Leadership Chairman Expresses Solidarity with Mirwaiz Umar Farooq

SRINAGAR DECM 29:-Chairman of Greater Shah-re-Khaas Leadership, Mohammad Faheem Reshi, on Saturday expressed strong solidarity with Mirwaiz Dr. Umar Farooq, describing him as a respected religious leader and guiding force for the people of Kashmir.

In a statement issued to the press, Reshi said that the Mirwaiz institution has historically symbolised spiritual guidance, social reform, and unity in Kashmiri society. He asserted that no political interest or personal agenda should be allowed to undermine or disrespect the sanctity of this revered institution.

Condemning attempts to misuse religion or the Mirwaiz platform for personal political gains, Reshi said such actions go against the sentiments and values of the people of Kashmir. He urged all sections of society to uphold harmony, show due respect to religious leadership, and work collectively for the welfare, dignity, and unity of the society.

He reiterated that preserving the respect and credibility of religious institutions is essential for maintaining social balance and communal harmony in the region.
