POONCH NOV 06:-The fifth day of the ongoing Krishna Ghati Premier League (Second Edition) 2025-26 saw two thrilling matches that kept cricket enthusiasts on the edge of their seats at the Sports Ground Jhullas. Teams displayed remarkable skill and sportsmanship in fierce T20 battles under the bright winter sun.
Match 8: Poonch Cricket Club vs Sankh Qalander Cricket Club
Sankh Qalander Cricket Club won the toss and opted to bat first, posting a modest total of 103 runs in 15 overs. Chasing the target, Poonch Cricket Club put up a determined fight and successfully reached 104/6 in 13.5 overs, securing victory. Salman Khan was declared Man of the Match for his exceptional bowling performance that turned the game in Poonch’s favor.
Match 9: Ruhiss Cricket Club vs Star Viper
In the second encounter, Star Viper won the toss and chose to bat, setting a competitive target of 138/8 in 15 overs. Ruhiss Cricket Club, despite a strong start, fell short of the mark, managing only 100/8 in 15 overs. Zahid Ali was awarded Man of the Match for his brilliant all-round performance.
The tournament is being organized by the Nangi Tekri Battalion under the aegis of the Krishna Ghati Brigade, as part of Operation Sadbhavna, an initiative aimed at promoting sportsmanship, youth engagement, and community harmony in the region.
