Delegations of Various Unions Call on Mehbooba Mufti, Express Gratitude for Raising Daily Wagers’ Issue

JAMMU OCT 31:-Delegations representing several organisations, including Casual Labourers, Home Guards, PHE Workers, Street Vendors, and Estates Employees Unions, called on PDP President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti in Jammu on Thursday.

The delegations expressed their gratitude to Mehbooba Mufti for becoming the voice of thousands of daily wagers by moving a bill in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly seeking their regularisation.

The representatives lauded her consistent efforts to highlight the long-pending demands of temporary and daily-rated workers, who have been serving for years without job security or regular pay. They hoped the initiative would pave the way for a dignified livelihood and lasting resolution of their employment issues.
