Director Geology & Mining J&K Suspends MTS Over Social Media Misuse in Rajouri.

RAJOURI OCT 08:-The Directorate of Geology and Mining, Jammu and Kashmir, has suspended a Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) employee posted in the office of the District Mineral Officer, Rajouri, for allegedly misusing social media to post content against the J&K Government.

According to an official order issued by the Director, Geology and Mining, the employee, identified as Sunil Mittar, MTS (Chowkidar), has been placed under suspension with immediate effect under Rule 18 of the Jammu and Kashmir Government Employees (Conduct) Rules, 1971, for violating government instructions and circulars regarding the proper use of social media by employees.

Pending further inquiry, the suspended employee has been attached to the office of the District Mineral Officer, Rajouri.

Dr. Raj Kumar, Deputy Director (MI & GW), has been appointed as the Inquiry Officer under sub-rule (4) of Rule 33 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956. He has been directed to conduct a detailed investigation into the conduct of the said employee and submit a report along with findings and recommendations within one week.
