MLA Rajouri Resolves ST2 Scholarship Deadlock; Students Call Off Protest Following Government Commitment

RAJOURI AUGUST 29:-MLA Rajouri Iftkhar Ahmed joined the protesting students demanding the release of the ST2 Scholarship. The students had been on a hunger strike, urging immediate action from the concerned authorities.

Demonstrating swift leadership and concern for student welfare, MLA Iftkhar Ahmed personally engaged with the Director of the Social Welfare Department, followed by direct communication with the Chief Minister’s Office. He also held detailed discussions with Ms. Sakina Itoo, Hon’ble Minister for School Education, Higher Education, Health and Medical Education, and the Social Welfare Department.

As a result of the MLA’s intervention, the students were given a firm assurance that the pending ST2 Scholarships would be released within a couple of days. Moved by the positive response and the MLA’s proactive involvement, the students ended their hunger strike.

MLA Iftkhar Ahmed symbolically broke the strike by offering juice to the fasting students, marking the end of the protest. The students expressed gratitude and raised slogans in appreciation of MLA Rajouri’s efforts in taking their concerns to the highest levels of governance.
