Dangal Held at Thial Chouhan Block Khoon of Majalta Tehsil

UDHAMPUR GNS:- On 114th Annual mega historic & famous Dangal was held at Thial-Chougan in Block Khoon, Tehsil Majalta of District Udhampur. Ex. MLA  R S Pathania was the chief guest, President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Shiv Kr. Sharma presided over the function. Senior BJP Leader Nand Kishore Sharma, B D Sharma, Contractor Raj Kapoor, B D O Pritam Ram Sharma, S H O Bharat Sharma & Varinder Badyal were the guests of honor. 49 bouts were played & an expenditure of Rs. 3,50,000 has been incurred for the conduct of this one day wrestling event. 1st malli main bout was fought between wrestler Devinder of Kohali (Amritsar) in Punjab v/s wrestler Benia Min of Basantgarh in district Udhampur of J&K Police. This bout ended in a draw that lasted for 20 minutes and both the wrestlers were jointly awarded with cash prize of Rs.1, 11,000/ by  R. S. Pathania  Bishan Dass contributed Rs. 51,000/ as financial assistance to the organisor in the memory of his beloved father Late Sh. Durga Dass ji.
