Scintillating Cultural programmes mark 2nd day of Sudhmahadev mela

UDHAMPUR, JUNE– : Presentation of scintillating cultural programmes by the locals artists marked the second day of 3-day historic Sudhmahadev mela being organised in Chenani tehsil of Udhampur district.

On second day of the festival, thousands of visitors and devotes from within and outside the district thronged the ancient Temple and paid obeisance to Lord Shiva.

Sub Divisional Magistrate, Chenani, Abdul Sattar, was the chief guest on the occasion.

SDM extended greetings to the people on this auspicious ocassion and hoped that the festival would be celebrated with complete religious fervour and gaiety.

The district administration has made adequate arrangements of Water, Electricity, Healthcare, Security, transport etc. for successful conduct of the mela. Besides, awareness stalls were also put up by different departments on the occasion. Number of temporary sweet shops, toy shops and other eatable corners by the locals as well as outside vendors were the main attraction for the general public visiting the Mela site.

Langers were also organised by various organisations at the mela site.

The Dharmath trust has also made elaborate arrangements for comfortable pilgrimage in the temple premises.

Among others, Tehsildar Chenani (Mela Officer), Ajay Kumar Saraf and other officers and officials of various departments besides prominent citizens were present.
