During the elections, the baseless promise by the NC to provide 200 units of free electric to every household was merely a strategy to win the elections.

RAJOURI FEB 27:-Jammu Kashmir: PDP’s District Joint Secretary Farooq Inqlabi has strongly criticized the Jammu Kashmir government and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. Inqlabi stated that during the elections, Omar Abdullah had promised the public free electricity, but after the formation of the government, the people are being charged millions of rupees in electricity bills.

Inqlabi further added that not only is the government collecting additional electricity bills from the public, but there are still many remote areas where people are deprived of basic amenities. He mentioned that in these areas, people are forced to use trees in place of electric poles and crates instead of wires to access electricity.

Farooq Inqlabi also demanded that during the month of Ramadan, the government provide the public with 24-hour electricity to avoid any inconvenience for those observing fasting. He stated that the shortage of electricity during the holy month of Ramadan causes severe hardship to the public, and the government must immediately address this issue.

Inqlabi questioned the government’s performance, stating that these actions are being taken not for the welfare of the public but for the personal interests of the government. He emphasized that the government should fulfill its promises and improve the electricity supply so that the people do not face any more difficulties.
