Dr. Singh, a distinguished economist and a pivotal figure in India’s modern political landscape, passed away on 26 December 2024, leaving behind a legacy of reform and progress.
Sabiya Bano, known for her unwavering commitment to social justice and political activism, stated, “Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji was not just an exemplary leader but also a beacon of hope for millions. His vision for India’s development and his economic reforms have shaped the nation’s trajectory. As the first Sikh Prime Minister of India, Dr. Singh served from 2004 to 2014, during which he was instrumental in steering the Indian economy through significant challenges and ushering in an era of unprecedented growth.
