Lt Gen Navin Sachdeva Visits Rajouri, Emphasizes Civil-Military Partnership

RAJOURI DEC 22:-Lt Gen Navin Sachdeva, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the White Knight Corps, paid a significant visit to Rajouri to reinforce the strong civil-military partnership and acknowledge the contributions of local communities and veterans in fostering peace and stability in the region.

During his visit, Lt Gen Sachdeva lauded the collaboration between the civilian populace and security forces, especially in the strategically vital border districts of Rajouri and Poonch. He emphasized the Indian Army’s expanded operational footprint, including its strategic positioning in the Pir Panjal Range, and its close coordination with the Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) and civil authorities. He credited the improved security situation to the unwavering support of veterans and local leaders, recognizing their indispensable role in maintaining harmony.

The GOC commended the Ace of Spades Division for its efforts in fostering trust through welfare initiatives and active engagement with local communities. “The cooperation between the military and civilians has been pivotal in creating a secure and stable environment,” Lt Gen Sachdeva stated.

A highlight of the visit was Lt Gen Sachdeva’s participation in the Mendhar Cricket Premier League (MCPL) felicitation ceremony, where he praised the region’s youth for their enthusiasm for sports. He underscored the role of such activities in uniting communities and promoting constructive energy among the youth.

The Corps Commander also met with Indian Army veterans, expressing his gratitude for their lifelong contributions to regional security and social cohesion. He stressed their role as key facilitators in bridging the military and civilian spheres.

The visit reinforced the Indian Army’s unwavering commitment to peace, stability, and the welfare of the people in Jammu and Kashmir. With its enhanced operational readiness, strengthened ties with local law enforcement, and proactive engagement with communities the Army continues to foster an environment of security and harmony across the region.
