JAMMU DEC 20:–Senior Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader, Mohammad Farooq Inqlabi, today strongly criticized the National Conference (NC)-led Jammu and Kashmir government for the cancellation of over 1.27 lakh ration cards in the region.
Inqlabi termed the government’s action as a direct assault on the poor and underprivileged sections of the society. He accused the National Conference of being “anti-poor” and claimed that the party’s actions had once again exposed the disparity between their promises and reality. According to Inqlabi, the NC’s election manifesto, which had promised relief to the common people, now stands debunked as yet another falsehood aimed at securing votes.
“Once again, the National Conference has betrayed the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The cancellation of 1.27 lakh ration cards is a harsh reminder of their insincerity towards the welfare of the common man. Their promises during elections were nothing but empty rhetoric, as they continue to put the poor and vulnerable at the receiving end,” said Inqlabi.
He further stated that such decisions would only exacerbate the economic hardships of the common people and urged the government to immediately revoke the cancellation order. Inqlabi also stressed the need for accountability and transparency in the distribution of essential resources, as these decisions have far-reaching consequences on the lives of ordinary citizens.
In conclusion, Mohammad Farooq Inqlabi reiterated the PDP’s commitment to fight for the rights of the poor and marginalized and ensure that such regressive policies are overturned in the future.
