POONCH DEC 17:-The final match of the Krishna Ghati Premier League (KGPL) was played between LOC Club and Panjal Warriors. LOC Club won the toss and elected to bat first and LOC posted a competitive total of 184/8 in 20 overs. Mehboob Shaikh scored 46, Arif contributed 37, and Piyush Likhi added 33 runs. Avinash and Sahil Sharma took 2 wickets each for Panjal Warriors.
Chasing a challenging target of 185 runs, Panjal Warriors were all out at 147 runs in 18.1 overs. Avinash was the top scorer with 44, followed by Anurag, who scored 29. Arif was the pick of the bowlers for LOC Club, taking 3 wickets, while Riswan and Balraj chipped in with 2 wickets each.
For his outstanding all-round performance, Arif Rishi was declared Man of the Match. The winning team, LOC Club, received a cash prize of ₹3,50,000 and a trophy, while the runner-up team, Panjal Warriors, was awarded ₹1,50,000 and a trophy.

The Chief Guest of the match was GOC, ACE of Spade Division. Other military & civil dignitaries including Additional SP Mohan Lal. Members of the Civil Administration, Police Administration, Sarpanches, ex-servicemen, local population from Surankote, Mendhar, Poonch, Mandi and children from various schools were also present at the event. Officials from Youth Services and Sports as well as representatives from electronic and print media attended the event.
Honorary Captain Pritam Singh, a war veteran of the Indo Pak 1971 War was honored for his exceptional service and bravery.
This tournament was organized by Nangi Tekri Battalion under the aegis of Krishna Ghati Brigade under operation Sadbhavana. First time in the history of Poonch such a significant event has been organized by the Indian Army.
