RAJOURI DEC 04:-After detecting unauthorised access to government office and official documents during a surprise raid to the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) office, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma (IAS) in a strong message has emphasized the need for stricter protocols to prevent such incidents in the future.
“The administration is committed to ensuring that public offices maintain the highest standards of integrity and accountability. Any violation of these principles will not be tolerated, and strict action will be taken against those found guilty,” said DC, Abhishek Sharma.
In a significant move to ensure transparency and accountability in government offices, Abhishek Sharma conducted a surprise raid at the ARTO (Assistant Regional Transport Officer) office in Rajouri on Monday.
During the inspection, he found private individuals inside official rooms, raising serious questions about unauthorized access to sensitive areas.
DC Abhishek Sharma also directed to seal a computer shop near to ARTO Office after official documents belonging to the ARTO office were discovered on its premises.
Taking swift action, the Deputy Commissioner directed the immediate initiation of disciplinary proceedings and ordered a detailed inquiry into the matter.
“The inquiry aims to identify lapses, if any, on the part of the office staff and the involvement of external parties in handling official documents,” said Abhishek Sharma.
“Further details regarding the inquiry and any subsequent actions will be shared once the investigation is complete,” he added.
The Deputy Commissioner also emphasized the need for stricter protocols to prevent unauthorized access to government offices and documents in the future.
