Rajouri 04 June:-Contractors of Rajouri addressed Press conference in Rajouri under the the Chairman ship of Ashfaq Magray President Contractors Association Rajouri and raised number of issues concerning contractors.

Addressing Media Persons Ashfaq Magray said that Contractors are facing acute hardships on account of non payments of Bill’s.

Ashfaq Magray President Contractors Association put forth various demands which are as follows

1.Clearance of pending liabilities of SDRF 2014 in all departments.

2.Revision of 2012 schedule rates which were not revised as cost of construction material escalated many folds.3.Clearance of liabilities of FMP 2010-11 in Irrigation and flood control. 4.REW executing works worth crore of rupees without calling tenders.5.Delay in payments of languishing projects and construction of Border Bunkers causing huge losses to Contractors. 6.Many works diverted from PWD,PDD,PHE to Rural Dev Department for adjustment of blue eyed persons.7.Some people are  charging Royalty on Bajri and sand illegally and DDC Rajouri is requested to look into the matter.8.Delay in payments of bills in treasuries due to non availability of funds causing losses of contractors.

Magray also demanded fixation of rates for crusher material.

Magray appealed Governor Satya Pal Malik to personally intervene so that contractors issues could be resolved.He also said that How to to celebrate Eid with families when we have no money and appealed Governor Administration to tender works only for which funds are available so that Contractors don’t suffer.
