DC Rajouri visits Eidgah; Reviews Arrangements for Eid ul Fitr

Rajouri,June,03: In order to facilitate smooth and hassle free Eid -ul-Fitr prayers Deputy Commissioner,Rajouri, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today visited Eidgah Rajouri where the Eid prayers are to be held.He specifically oversaw sanitation and cleaning drive being carried out at the place as per the directions he had given to the Municipal authorities few days ago in meeting.

The DC took stock of basic facilities being provided by the concerned department with regard to sanitation, uninterrupted water and power supply, healthcare besides other works of cleanliness in and around the Eidgah.

During the visit, Deputy Commissioner issued on spot directions to the concerned officers as well as to the field staff for ensuring proper sanitation in and around Eidgah and Jamia Masjids where Eid prayers will be offered. He also discussed the security issues and deployment of police personnel along the route to the Masjids and particularly at the Eidgah to manage traffic and parking inside the premises of the Eidgah so that the people coming do not face any inconveniences.

Several members of civil society also met the Deputy Commissioner and brought their problems into his notice like quality and rates of the essential commodities.Deputy Commissioner Rajouri immediately directed the concerned officer for inspection.

Regarding distribution of the ration and sugar ,AD Food supplies informed that sugar as per norm will be distributed before Eid and the distribution of ration is in progress.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned Officers to work in tandem and ensure that all the arrangements are made well in time.The Deputy Commissioner also directed the concerned officers for deployment of ambulance equipped with medicines and paramedics, fire tenders and other facilities at the Eidgah.

Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Mohd Ashraf,Chief Medical Officer,Sunil Sharma , Tehsildar Rajouri,Sheraz Chouhan, Assistant Director Foods and supplies,Mukhtar Ahmed lone,Executive officer Municipality,engineers for PWD,PHE,PDD, besides Chairman Auqaf Qayoom Dar and members of Eid Committee.
