SRINAGAR NOV 17:-Greater Shah-re-Khaas Leadership Chairman Faheem Reshi has expressed his support for the recent statement made by the Lieutenant Governor (LG) of Jammu and Kashmir, which confirmed that the Panchayat and Urban Local Body (ULB) elections will be held soon in the region. Reshi welcomed the move, saying that these elections are a crucial step toward strengthening local governance and empowering communities across Kashmir.

In his remarks, Reshi also announced that his poltical group would field 20 candidates specifically in the downtown Shahr-e-khass area of Srinagar, a key region that has long been a political and cultural hub in the city. “We are committed to ensuring that the voices of the people in downtown are heard, and we are ready to present capable candidates who will work for the development and welfare of the local population,” Reshi stated.

The announcement has sparked excitement in the area, with political observers noting that the upcoming elections could bring significant changes to the local political landscape. Reeshi emphasized that his party is focused on addressing the pressing issues faced by the residents, including infrastructure, healthcare, and employment.

“The people of downtown deserve better representation, and we are confident that our candidates will be able to bring meaningful change to the area,” he added.
