Mehraj Malik, Wind of Inqalab from Doda to Delhi, ; “Aam Aadmi Party first elected MLA from Jammu and Kashmir”

CHENAB VALLEY OCT 15:-In the political history of Jammu and Kashmir since Independence, there has been only one legislative member, Mehraj Din Malik, who was chosen by the people of the 52-Doda constituency of the Doda district to bring a change in the political system and curb dynastic rule in the Doda constituency. His name and fame came into existence from his school and college days while raising issues related to better education and others.

Hailing from a small hamlet, Tandela, in the Jhakyas Bhalessa area, Mehraj Malik started his movement after joining the Delhi-based Political Party, Aam Aadmi Party, represented by Arvind Kejriwal. As soon as Mehraj Malik joined the Aam Aadmi Party in 2013 and contested the General Elections for the Legislative Assembly 2014 on Aam Aadmi Party mandate to bring a change in Jammu and Kashmir as on the pattern of Change in Delhi wherein Mehraj Malik, got only below 400 votes.

To raise public issues, Mehraj Malik continues his work for the betterment of society, with the slogan “Inqalabo Inqalab Inqalab Zindabad Zindabad Zindabad” resulting in his thumping victory in the DDC Election 2020 from Kahara Jhakyas constituency with a huge margin of more than 4000 votes.

Known for his honesty and dedication toward society, Mehraj Malik keeps an eye on every issue faced by the general society in the government and private sectors across the whole of Jammu and Kashmir.

Being a DDC Member from Kahara Jhakyas constituency, Mehraj Malik openly utilized his funds for the welfare and betterment of the society and always stood with the poor masses who remain neglected in every pattern.

Not only Kahara Jhakyas constituency, Mehraj Malik raised issues faced in different regions of Chenab region as well as in Jammu and Kashmir as such raised concern over the eviction drive in different regions of Jammu and Kashmir. During the eviction drive in the Jammu area of demolishing the MG Hector showroom, Mehraj Malik was arrested and kept in custody for days together and later was released on bail.

After all, Mehraj Malik’s voice became a ray of hope among all citizens by standing with a downtrodden society which resulted from a common slogan by children of the society “Maja Maja Raj Karega”.

Later on, Mehraj Malik contested the General Elections for Parliament in Mar 2024 from the Udhampur parliamentary constituency and secured below 15000 votes, wherein the total enrolled voters were about 17 lakhs.

Never losing hope, Mehraj Malik contested the General Elections for Legislative Assembly 2024 from the 52-Doda constituency on the mandate of the Aam Aadmi Party and secured the win the margin of more than 4500 votes against Bhartiya Janta Party candidate Gajay Singh Rana, Democratic Progressive Azad Party candidate Abdul Majid Wani, National Conference candidate Khalid Najeeb Shurwardy and Indian National Congress candidate Sheikh Riaz Ahmed and various other Independent candidates.

It was a historic movement not only for the whole of Chenab Valley but also for the Delhi-based Political Party Aam Aadmi Party, whose first-ever candidate secured a win without spending a penny from his pocket as the whole society contributed cash, vehicles, and other requirements for assembly elections.

It was the first time in history that people sacrificed for a politician to contest an assembly election and to represent our social and developmental issues in the Assembly to ease our difficulties faced in daily routine.

Mehraj Malik created history in society that honestly always wins as he alone led the front from 2014 and achieved it by 2024 when thousands of people joined his movement, commonly known as Inqilab. As such, there was a famous slogan of Mehraj Malik Inqalabo Inqalabo Inqalabo Zindabad Zindabad Zindabad, which created great hype among the voters.

Aam Aadmi Party Founder and National Convenor Shri Arvind Kejriwal through a video call heartily congratulated Mehraj Malik on his win and thanked the whole voters of 52 Doda constituency for putting faith in their party and party candidate Mehraj malik on his historic win.

Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party Founder and National Convenor Shri Arvind Kejriwal along with Punjab Chief Minister Shri Bhagwant Maan, and Member of Parliament Sanjay Singh visited Doda to address the mammoth gathering and thanked voters in marking their history toward new politics i.e Better Education in Government institutions, Better Health clinic facilities, Better electricity supply and water supply, Better road connectivity and various others.

While addressing and welcoming the party chiefs in Doda, Mehraj Malik recalled the days of 2013 after joining the Aam Aadmi party when the general section of society was making fun of the joining. Added that I faced very hardship during these days as no one was ready to stand with me, I continued to work for the betterment of the society which results from today’s history, Mehraj added during his speech.

Meanwhile, Arvind Kejriwal during his address recalled that the Aam Aadmi Party is not only a party but a name for changing of mind for better education, health, roads, electricity, water, and other things that require a common man during his daily life and routine work.

He also thanked the people of 52 Doda constituency and the whole of Jammu and Kashmir who stood with Mehraj Malik and helped him during the election campaign not only by votes but also by supporting him financially to bring a revolution in Doda. The wind of Inqalab and the revolution had now started from Doda and will now impact the whole of Jammu and Kashmir in the upcoming days.

The party chief and others wish Mehraj Malik a brighter future ahead not only in Jammu and Kashmir but in national politics.
