DDC Rajouri inspects on going works at Sports Stadium Kheora* Sets deadline of 2 weeks for making Pavilion ready

Indoor Stadium works to take off on war footing

Rajouri 29 May: District Development Commissioner Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad today inspected the progress of work at Sports Stadium Kheora.

During the visit of Sports Complex which is being executed by PWD, the SE PWD informed the DDC that the work on the remaining project started recently and the work on indoor and outdoor stadium will be completed in next three months , 2019. He also informed that the cost of construction of indoor and outdoor stadium is 564 lakhs. The said project was approved under languishing projects.

The DDC directed the executing agency to complete the work of Pavillion within two weeks .He directed the concerned officer from Youth and service department to give specification for the cricket pitch which is to be developed by the PWD.
The concerned officer from PWD informed that the indoor stadium has the facility of badminton, tennis and skitting.

The DDC directed the concerned Executing Agency to speed up the construction work. He emphasized upon the officers to ensure accountability and transparency. He also asked for the better synergy between departments and executing agencies for better results and timely completion.

The DDC said that sports is an important element in the life of youth which helps them move towards the positive direction.
DDC further said that sports is an integral part of personality development and the development of sufficient infrastructure will help in grooming budding sportsmen and enable them to compete at national and international levels.

The DDC was accompained by Suprintending Engineer PWD, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Executive Engineer PWD Rajouri, Tehsildar Rajouri, Executive Officer Muncipality Rajouri and others.
