CMO Rajouri executed several health initiatives in district on direction of AS H&MO, Dr S A R Shah.

RAJOURI SEPT 29:–On the direction of Administrative Secretary Health & Medical Education (H&ME) J&K, Dr Sayed Abid Rasheed Shah, Mission Director NHM J&K, Nazim jai Khan, and DC Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, several health initiatives were executed in Rajouri on Friday under the supervision of Director Health Services Jammu, Dr Rakesh Mangotra.
The initiatives were executed by the CMO Rajouri, Dr M.L. Sharma including observance of World Rabies Day across Rajouri district, cleanliness on occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Malaria outreach initiative, RBSK initiative, and others.
World Rabies Day with the theme ‘Breaking Rabies Boundaries’ was celebrated in all the health institutions of the district and the people were aware, and educated about the deadly disease.
“The campaign focused on overcoming geographic, socio-economic, and educational barriers to ensure widespread vaccination, awareness, and access to medical care, ” said CMO.
Health officials emphasized the importance of a unified approach in combating rabies, fostering a future where the disease is no longer a threat to humans and animals. Awareness programs were conducted to highlight the critical need for timely vaccinations and preventive measures, ensuring safety and well-being across the district.
Keeping in view the forthcoming Gandhi Jayanti cleanliness drive was conducted in the CMO office complex and its surrounding areas in collaboration with middle school Jawahar Nagar.
The event aimed to spread awareness about the importance of cleanliness in promoting a healthy and sustainable environment, reflecting Mahatma Gandhi’s vision for a clean India.
RBSK Mobile Health Teams conducted proactive district-wide screening sessions, prioritizing children’s health in different Anganwadi Centres (AWCs).
This initiative focused on early detection and timely intervention to ensure better well-being for children and aims at to provide necessary healthcare services promptly, enhancing overall child health in the district.
Dedicated teams carried out extensive awareness campaigns and spraying activities as part of the Malaria Outreach Initiative across the district, aiming to curb the spread of malaria and educate the community.
This outreach initiative is a significant step towards eradicating malaria and ensuring the well-being of district residents.
“These initiatives highlight the health Department’s commitment to enhance healthcare services and advance the well-being of the residents of District Rajouri.
