RAJOURI AUGUST 27:–Muzaffar Khan, son of senior NC leader and former Rajouri MLA M Aslam Khan, who resigned from the job of a judge and joined NC, worked day and night to strengthen NC. Now NC did not give him a ticket, after which he left NC and announced to contest from ThannaMandi assembly constituency as an independent candidate. Now he will face the joint candidate of NC Congress from this seat. Congress district president Shabbir Ahmed Khan will be in the electoral fray from this seat.

In January 2019, Muzaffar Khan was told by NC leaders that elections are to be held in May, you should resign from your post and prepare for the elections, we are declaring you as our candidate. At the same time, Muzaffar Khan resigned from the job of a judge and started strengthening NC, but the elections did not take place. In the Lok Sabha elections, Mr Khan worked day and night and also got a lot of votes for NC from their area. Now when NC and Congress formed an alliance, Thanna Mandi seat came in Congress’s account. After which Muzaffar Khan held a meeting with his supporters and decide to contest as independent candidates.
