Drone-dropped pistol & ammunition recovered in Rajouri district.

RAJOURI JULY 26:–The Indian Army on Friday reportedly shot down a Pakistani drone along the Line of Control (LoC) in Nowshera subdivision of Rajouri and recovered a pistol along with 2 loaded magazines and 37 rounds of pistol.
It is pertinent to mention here that due to lack of support from the local population-especially from misguided youth- Pakistan under its nefarious design to disturb peace and communal harmony in J&K is continuously making attempts to push highly trained terrorists into the Indian territory.
After recent infiltration attempts on the LoC and spate in the incidents of terror attacks deep inside the LoC hinterland on army convoys/ pickets in Rajouri & Poonch districts, troops have been put on highest alert in both the districts and deployment of the troops has been re-adjusted.
Sources said that at about 10 pm on Thursday (July 25) alert Gorkhas spotted a movement of the enemy’s quadcopter near the forward post in Sair area on LoC which was moving towards Bhawani area.
Troops at the post fired a few rounds towards the quadcopter & it disappeared towards the PoJK side but, sources added, didn’t return to PoJK.
Immediately a cordon was launched in the area and at the first light on Friday the troops carried out a search in the entire Sair village and adjoining areas.
At about 8 am the troops recovered one pistol along with two loaded magazines and 37 rounds of pistol.
Recently intelligence agencies revealed that during recent terror attacks on the Indian Army convoys the use of binocular fitted M-4 US carbines and Chinese steel core bullets besides precise firing indicated that the terrorists involved in the attacks could be retired army personnel of SSG of Pakistan’s Army or highly trained terrorists in guerilla warfare.
