Jammu and Kashmir Police in Ramban District held two persons with Heroin like substance in Chanderkote area

RAMBAN/JAMMU JULY 04:–Cracking down heavily on Narcotics smuggling under Operation Sanjeevani* Jammu and Kashmir police in District Ramban foiled a Narcotics smuggling bid in Chanderkote area and arrested two persons with Herione like substance.

A police party of Police Station Chanderkote led by SHO PS Chanderkote Insp. Jatinder Singh Rakwal while conducting routine vehicle checking at Kunfer bypass intercepted one alto car bearing registration number JK13D-2655 coming from Jammu Side towards Kashmir valley.

On questioning the driver and one other occupant sitting in the car disclosed their identity as Mehran Malik S/O Farooq Ahmed Malik R/O Drangbal Tehsil Pampore District Pulwama and Aqib Ganie S/O Mohd. Shafi R/O Pantha Chowk Srinagar Tehsil and District Srinagar.

During process of checking Heroine like substance approximately 10.75 grams was recovered from the dash board of said car. In this matter a Case FIR No. 101/2024 U/S 8/21/29 NDPS registered at PS Chanderkote.
The accused persons have been arrested on the spot and contraband alongwith vehicle seized, investigation of the case going on to prove backward and forward linkages.j
