RAJOURI MARCH 14:–Jammu and Kashmir police in District Rajouri arrested two youth following a recovering of consignment of banned drugs/tablets from their possession.
A team of police headed by SHO Rajouri Eijaz Wani intercepted two youth at Baila Bridge, Rajouri and recovered 38 strips of banned drug (tramadol hydrochloride) & 20 strips of nitrazepam from their possession following which duo have been arrested.
The duo accused persons have been identified as Mohd Arif S/O Mohd Shabir R/O Choudhary Nar and Shafqat Ali S/O Abdul Aziz R/O Kheora.
Notably, a formal criminal case under FIR No. 98/2024 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rajouri.
Investigation into digging both Forward & Backward linkages of instant NDPS recovery is going on.
Police in Rajouri district has arrested dozens of narcotic peddlers in last couple of months as they were found involved in peddling of narcotics and banned drugs with recovery have been made from their possession.
Under zero tolerance policy towards drugs abuse, a number of notorious drug peddlers have also been detained under PIT NDPS Act in the district.
