5 Health Centers found locked; BMO Nowshera constitutes an inquiry committee ; Absentee employees attached in SDH Nowshera: BMO

RAJOURI, MARCH 11:–Block Medical Officer (BMO) Nowshera Block has constituted a three-member inquiry committee for the conduct of detailed enquiry related to unauthorised absence of employees of five health centers found locked during surprise visit on Sunday.
It is pertinent to mention here that BMO, Dr Iqbal Malik on the directions of Director Health Services Jammu, Dr Rakesh Magotra paid surprise visit to various health institutions within the block and found 5 health centers locked during working hours (half a day) on Sunday.
The health institutions found locked during unannounced inspection by BMO, Dr Iqbal Malik include Kheri-1, Kheri-2, Dandesar, Dabber Potha, and Sayal.
Acting tough against the erring employees-who were on roaster duty Sunday & Gazetted Holidays- BMO, Dr Iqbal Malik vide his office order (N0.BMO/N/Adm/2023-24/4578-85 dt 10/3/2024) has already sought explanation from all the employees (of 5 health institutions) within five days for remaining absent unauthorisedly from their legitimate duties.
BMO also withheld March month’s salaries of these employees & also directed to deduct two & half days’ salaries of all the employees.
It is pertinent to mention here that the government provides two & half days salary to non-gazetted staff of the Health & Medical Education Department who perform additional duties on Sundays and holidays.
The inquiry committee constituted by BMO Dr Iqbal Malik includes Dr Chander Parkash, Medical Officer (MO), Sub District Hospital Nowshera; Dr Sonia Sampal MO, PHC Langer; & Dr. Pawan Kumar, MO, PHC Lamberi.
The committee was asked to submit its factual report along with definite remarks and recommendation to BMO’s office within 2 days for further course of action.
Meanwhile, BMO vide his office orderExplanations (No.BMO/NS2023-24/4603-09 dt11/3/2024) has attached five employees of these centers in sub district hospital at Nowshera and shall also report in BMO’s office at 10 am on Tuesday.
These employees were also directed to cooperate with the inquiry committee along with their reply of explanations.
The employees found on unauthorised absence by the BMO include Dr Kunal Raina, MLHP (HWC-Kheri); Rita Devi, FMPHW (HWC Dabber Potha); Ajay Kumar, Junior Pharmacist (HWC Dandesar); Rajesh Dutta, MMPHW (HWC-Sayal; and Vinod Sudan, Jr Pharmacist (NT PHC-Kheri II).
