SRINAGAR JANUARY 09:– Indian youth Congress National General Secretary and incharge Jammu and Kashmir Jagdev Gaga in a statement issued to press here said It is saddening to note that this union territory jammu and kashmir is in the clutches of drug abuse,and more and more people are getting addicted to the menace as reportedly an unchecked supply of drugs has snatched the peace of many families, who bread-earners have fallen prey to callous drug traffickers.

There is a famous saying that if you want to destroy a nation, never kill them physically, only provide them drugs and prevent them from education. Jagdev Gaga express concern over our youth are go into drug abuse from an early age. Personal trauma mixed with bad company can lead to drug abuse, and often addiction. The negative impacts range from loss of appetite, malnutrition, infections, changes in personality, etc. to severe mental health issues and memory loss. Imprisonment and arbitrary detention of drug abusers only make things worse. Rehabilitation is the proper way to fix this problem, along with steps to discourage the use of drugs. Jagdev Gaga demanded there is also need for the relevant authorities to spring into action without wasting any more time and take action against the drug traffickers who are operating with impunity.They must nip the evil in the bud as early as possible lest the menace of drugs should destroy the whole of union territory Jammu and kashmir/society.
