RAJOURI DECEMBER 18:–Two Dermatologists from department of dermatology, Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri, took part in the two-days 4th Annual Conference of Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL) Jammu & Kashmir Chapter held in Jammu.
The conference of IADVL was held from December 15 to 16 at Sainik Colony Jammu & two Dermatologists from GMC Rajouri who attended the conference include Associate professor, Dr. Rohini Sharma and Senior Resident, Dr. Jabeen Akhter.
Conference had 11 credit hours and this year’s conference unfolds under the theme ‘Evaluation of Dermatology – Fundamental to Innovation,’ promising groundbreaking insights into the world of Dermatology.
The conference witnessed the presence of prominent dermatologists from national and international level.
Dr Rohini Sharma Associate professor & Head Department of Dermatology GMC Rajouri, who is also the Vice President & Scientific Secretary of Jammu & Kashmir Chapter, IADVL CUTICON JK 23-24 was called as judge for free paper session, presented two research papers.
Research papers presented include ‘Artificial intelligence in Dermatology – current challenges and future perspectives’ & ‘Platelet rich plasma therapy vs growth factor concentrates in Androgenetic alopecia’.
Dr Jabeen Akhter Senior Dermatology GMC Rajouri, Dr Jabeen Akhter delivered a guest lecture, ‘Dermoscopy in topical steroid damaged faces’.
IADVL, the largest representative society of Indian Dermatologists, was established in its present form on 28th January 1973.
IADVL also happens to be the world’s 2nd largest Association of Dermatologists behind the American Academy of Dermatology.
It is the national association of Indian medical specialists who manage patients with skin disorders, sexually transmitted infections (STIs) or leprosy. The current member strength of the association is 15,685 plus.
