JAMMU SEPTEMBER 04:–While demanding restoration of statehood with land and job guarantee to the Jammu & Kashmir, the Jammu Province Bachao Manch (JPBM) urged upon the Government of India to combat corruption, price hike, unprecedental tax imposition,drug abuse, crime, unrest among youth, farmers, workmen, professionals and small traders. JPBM launched awareness campaign on non-Political levels from Vijaypur Chowk today which shall be taken to the gross root level in all the districts and blocks of the region.

While mentioning about the Permanent Residential Certificate, Mr. Ashok Sharma, Chairman of the Manch said that every citizen of J&K was feeling proud to have PRC as it was once identity and pride of the people and so the government must restore the PRC system to the people of erstwhile State of Jammu & Kashmir.

Coming heavily on the government for not removing Sarore and Ban Toll Plaza and smart meters beside levying the ‘Property tax’, Advocate Ashok Sharma said that people are already facing the brunt of soaring prices of commodities and at this juncture burdening the poor people is insane step so it should be rolled back immediately.

Referring to the inhabitants of LoC and IB, the JPBM chairman said that government must provide them 5 marlas of residential plots to the safe places so that they may live their lives without fear psychosis. He exhorted that the ‘Trade & Commerce’ is being high jacked by the outsiders and the same should be retained with the original residents of J&K, ensuring the locals from job opportunities.

Sr. leaders of JPBM Kuldip Sharma and Satish poonchi while expressing serious concern over the menace of drug abuse in the Jammu, said that government must develop a mechanism to make Jammu region a Drug Free Zone. They further asked the government to immediate release the wages of daily wagers of PHE and other departments, besides regularize all those daily wagers who have completed the seven years in services. They exhorted the government to save the culture of Jammu as outsiders are damaging the culture which is matter of concern.
